Blackbox i10 Earbuds Cancel Noise Electronically

Electronic noise cancelling earphone are nothing new.  They’ve been in the Sharper Image and Sky Mall catalogues for years—usually attached to a pretty hefty price tag.  However, noise cancelling earbuds are a pretty new phenomenon and Blackbox has fully endorsed the miniaturization of this tech with their new i10 earbuds.   And the kicker is that these buds don’t need a battery!
These buds don’t plug into a standard headphone jack like all the rest on the market.  They plug right into your iPhone’s/iPod’s sync/charge port and draw juice from your iDevice’s battery to work their magic.  That’s handy because it stinks when you have to carry additional batteries with you, however, it will suck your device’s charge down quicker that blasting tunes alone.  The difference isn’t really that noticeable so if you’re making the choice between these i10 buds and some generics, go for the big guns.

Stats on these puppies are pretty impressive—even though they are provided by the manufacturer.  According to Blackbox, these buds will cancel out up to 93% of all ambient noise, giving these user crystal clear music and audio media perfection.  That’s all thanks to Phitek Systems’ ANR technology.
They’re available in the UK for around $123 and hopefully they’ll jump the pond sometime soon.
