Infinitec Launches First “Infinite” USB Drive

USB thumb drive with infinite storage space

While this little number from Infinitec isn’t really a USB thumb drive with infinite storage space, the advertisements are really lying to you, at least not completely.  You see, this USB device may look like a thumb drive but it’s actually a completely different gadget altogether.  Essentially what the tech boils down to is a WiFi device that allows two locally networked devices to instantaneously (and continuously) connect to each other.  One device then streams data to the other giving the USB device the appearance of being able to accept an infinite amount of data.
It’s a clever marketing gimmick but also an incredibly useful device.  In fact, it’s not only great for work, if you have a local network at home it’s a great way to transport your data without having to physically cut, port, and paste.  It saves you time and headaches and isn’t that what technology is supposed to do?

This little device also features what Infinitiec calls dual-WiFi meaning that the USB device can stay connected to a networked device and still have a dedicated WiFi connection to the internet.  Pretty handy if you’re into multi-tasking.
This great little piece of tech gear won’t come cheap but it’s not exactly overpriced either.  You’re going to have to pay $129 for all of this wireless freedom but for most people—even casual at-home users—that’s really not too much.
