SanDisk’s New USB Thumb Drive—the World’s Smallest?

Smallest thumb drive ever and quite possibly the smallest in the world.

SanDisk has long been a leader in mobile data storage and the brand name has become nearly synonymous with thumb drives.  The company took things to the next level when they launched the new Cruzer Blade.  It’s the company’s smallest thumb drive ever and quite possibly the smallest in the world.  But do you get all the features you need in a package that small?
The official release tyouts the USB drive as being “about the size of a paperclip” and weighing in just heavier than a standard penny.  That’s ridiculously tiny even for a thumb drive.  However, like Doctor Who’s Tardis, this drive is bigger on the inside than on the out—a lot bigger.

Storage capacities on the various models range from 2GB all the way up to a whopping 16GB—all on something small enough to lose in your pocket!  That’ pretty impressive but not enough to get consumers to overcome natural sticker shock that accompanies a high price tag.
However, SanDisk is putting these little saviors on the market starting at just $14.99.  Of course the 16GB model will cost you roughly %80 but that’s right in line with standard-sized thumb drives.  It’s a great deal if you like your data extremely portable, or wear pants with tiny pockets.
