Onkyo HDMI 10.1 Inch Picture Frame

Onkyo’s new LPF10M01 HDMI photo frame is one of the sharpest and clearest pictures you’ll get in a portable digital frame but you’re going to pay for it.

The 10.1 inch LED-backlit LCD display boasts a 1,024 x 600 pixel array with a 500 to 1 contrast ratio which is perfect for displaying your high definition digital photographs.  That process is made even easier by the built-in HDMIO input (hard to find on most photo frames these days—though they should be standard equipment by now.)
In addition to the HDMI in you get a USB port and SDHC memory card slot and 512mMB of internal memory (which may sound like a lot until you stuff a couple hundred pictures in there.)  All of that is wonderful but the $230 price tag hanging over this slick little machine makes it hard to justify forking over the cash.
Especially when you consider that the 140 degree horizontal viewing angle means that you’re going to have to stare at this thing straight-on if you want to see your pictures at all.  Too bad.  Engadget goof offs suggested that perhaps you could use this device as a minimalist monitor for your PC otherwise.
